Senior Marine Mechanical Engine Technician
Department: Marine Overhaul & Field Service • Location: Ciawi & Dockside DispatchMinimum 3+ Years Experience Required
Core Operational Responsibilities
- Execute complete mechanical teardowns, inspections, and overhauls on marine inboard and outboard engines (Yanmar, Cummins, Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Caterpillar).
- Perform precision cylinder honing, valve seat grinding, piston ring end-gap fitting, and torque-angle fastener sequences.
- Overhaul and descale marine cooling assemblies (heat exchangers, raw-water pumps, bronze impellers, and oil coolers).
- Diagnose high-pressure fuel injection systems, common-rail delivery, turbochargers, and execute post-overhaul sea trials.
- Travel with mobile service vans for scheduled dockside maintenance and emergency troubleshooting at regional marinas.
Mandatory Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience in marine inboard/outboard engine repair or heavy diesel engine rebuilding.
- Vocational diploma or technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering (SMK Otomotif/Mesin or Politeknik Perkapalan).
- Deep technical proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, dial bore gauges, compression testers).
- Strong understanding of marine galvanic corrosion, sacrificial zincs, and closed vs. raw-water cooling systems.
- Willingness to perform dockside field service in Jakarta, West Java, and Banten coastal ports.
Marine Machinery Packaging & Freight Crating Specialist
Department: Parts Warehouse & Freight Logistics • Location: Central Depot, CiawiMinimum 3+ Years Experience Required
Core Operational Responsibilities
- Construct reinforced timber skids, custom wooden crates, and structural bracing for marine engines, gearboxes, and propeller shafts up to 1,000 kg.
- Apply Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) anti-rust barrier wrapping, moisture desiccants, and oil-barrier seals to prevent saltwater oxidation.
- Ensure precision packaging for delicate marine parts (heat-exchanger bundles, electronic control units, and precision-machined shaft tapers).
- Operate pneumatic nailers, heavy-duty steel strapping equipment, and warehouse hoists/pallet jacks safely.
- Coordinate with freight carriers (Indah Logistik, J&T Cargo, Dakota, JNE) and verify waybills, weight distributions, and fragile handling markers.
Mandatory Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of direct professional experience in industrial machinery packaging, export timber crating, or heavy cargo logistics.
- Proven skill in timber cutting, structural box assembly, load balancing, and impact-resistant cushioning techniques.
- Familiarity with inter-island maritime cargo standards, phytosanitary timber handling, and freight waybill documentation.
- Strong physical stamina, adherence to occupational workshop safety, and meticulous attention to cargo protection.
- Forklift certification or material-handling equipment experience is strongly favored.
